    RXP 215 What octane?

Hi guys, I know that for the RXP-X your supposed to use 91 octane, but what about the RXP 215. I have been using 89 octane for the pas two days and it has been running great but should I be using 91 octane?

I would reccoment at least 91. Since I bought mine I have run nothing but 93 octane.

I have always run 93... for me it seems like the boat is a mph faster with the 93. Idk if it is true or not... just what I have seen on the gps. Some times when just doing riding for fun and not speed I run lower octane. But for calm days I run 93.

Hm, I have been running 89 octane in my RXP, but it seems to run perfect.

unless you dont have knocking problem, you dont have any advantage using higher octane at all.

I was asking myself the same question yesturday therefore i asked around in the yamaha forum and i am under the impression that it will not do any difference unless you have internal work done & if anything it will just burn slower....

It's not okay at all. It will actually slow down the flame front and hurt performance. You are better off running 91-93 octane and saving yourself some money
