    2004 MSX 150 Lanyard Switch

Anyone know where I can find a lanyard switch for my 2004 MSX 150?

I can't seem to find it using Babbitts's (or anyone else's) part look up.

can anyone nudge me win the right direction?

The Polaris part number is 7080675.

I got one from the local Polaris dealer...but there are aftermarket lanyards at places like West Marine.

    Happy boating!

    lanyard switch

    Opps, yeah, Sorry.

I meant the tether switch. All of a sudden, for no appearant reason, neither the stop button nor removing the lanyard from the tether SWITCH will kill the engine. It starts perfectly, and when the lanyard is not in place it will not start. But once running, neither will kill the motor.

    Anyone ever have this problem?

Sounds like the switch is not the problem.

I would suspect the electronic control module that the lanyard and stop switches connect to.

    On/off switch

    K447:

If my problem is with the ECU, and if nothing else is wrong, do I have to replace the entire ECU, or could I rewire the switch to some other ground?

    Hi FLN,

I have read of others having to replace the SIFB to cure this problem. You certainelly are having more issues than you deserve.

Yahoo! A borrowed IFB worked just fine. My new IFB is on the way. Thanks to all.
