06 rxt problem
My uncle went to take out his ski yesterday and when he put the key in, nothing happened. There were no beeps or displays on the cluster. Any ideas as to where to start to fix this?

Try the battery first or loose cables to the battery.

he checked the battery and all the cables already and said that the connections were tight and the battery had plenty of power

In over 300 hours on the water, I have only had two times when my RXT would not turn over. Both of them were battery or battery cable related. To prevent getting stranded, you should probably replace your PWC battery every 18-24 months anyway, same for the boat. If it's not the battery check your starter solenoid.

It doesn't recognize the key at all. When the key is inserted it doesn't beep and the display doesn't come on either (this is with both keys)

Check the grounds attached to the engine the surface has to clean and with no paint

I checked the battery, battery cables, and all the fuses. They were all good. It's like the ski doesn't recognize the key. Tried the regular key and the learner's...does nothing.
I'll double check all the ground wires on the engine again to see, but right now mosquitoes are owning me up.
