    Transom plate question.

Looking from the rear of the ski the right side of my transom plate is .040 lower than the left. The left side is flush with the tabs. What is the easiest way to line the plate up so it flush with the tabs on both sides? Do I have to remove the exhaust to raise the plate?

It looks like raising the plate is going to be a PITA since the SS and all the hoses need to come off. So my question now would be "is it worth the effort" If theres nothing really to be gained Im not going to waste my time, but if its somewhat important I will do it.

Or is it one of those things I post note to self. "Next time you have the back of your ski torn down line up that transom plate".

Have you installed the PPK and re-sealed your pump shoe yet ?
Have you reinforced your pump tunnel yet ?

ok, so I guess thats the time I should raise the plate. It will be made fast this winter in the off season. Do you guys think the plate not being lined up is hurting me now?

I believe that there are 3 alignment tabs for the transom plate 2 at the top and 1 to the right side the plate needs to make contact with all 3 if I am not mistaken. You might want to hydrotoys sight I belive Fernando has a how to on this there.

Thanks, mine is flush on the left tab, way low on the right top tab and below the right side tab.

I was looking at fernandos pump seal procedure when I decided taking the plate off is going to be a pain, it would be alot cleaner down there without the SS. Oh well evrything cant be easy

When buying a new ski that is something I will look at next time though. If the dealer has a few sitting there and I dont know which to take. That will be an easy decision maker. I figure if they couldnt get that right what else did they screw up that I dont see. It could be the difference in the variety of stock #s we here all the time.
