you could try shiming the ride similar to what the gpr boys do
also you could try using cr9ek plugs instead of the standerd cr9eb
they gave me a litle more top end, but i do have the full riva rpm kit
so don't for sure if would benifit a stock ski
in the ealy days i also cleaned up the casting marks on the intake great and gained a litle
in did a rough clean up first and gained some speed so then took it back off and finished the clean up but gained no more
there is issues with using the stock grate and increasing your top speed
the ski will throw you off when dumping the throtle from a full speed run
if you ease the throtle off you may be ok but i was still thrown once, it's when you forget and dump too quick and by then its to late

Did you shim your ride plate? If so, what gains did you get? ...and I already have the intake grate with seal kit installed plus the Solas impeller which did help in top end...another question, what do you mean by "cleaning up the casting marks on the intake grate"???
    Thanks for your response

the casting marks were pretty rough on the stock grate
but if you have the riva grate i would not bother
i did get more speed by shiming the ride plate but i also sanded the mounting bosses to give me a bit more angle

For a few pennies, filling in the "holes" ( around the various bolt heads which attach the ride plate and intake grate ) with silicone

As far as "velocity stacks", can I just remove the metal filters on the stock ones and run it like that???. It looks like it will do the same operation as buying the riva stacks, they are just open to breathe freely, and it does not look hard to do.

just fitted the velocity stacks i believe they help the suction of the the air into the throttle bodies by creating equal pressures. theres sure to be a better way to explain, as they do have a proven purpose in other applications.
