    Gas oil Mix

I have a 2000 XLT 1200 with a 1200 engine. I am looking into blocking off the oil pump and doing a gas oil mix. What gas oil ratio should I be using?

    Thanks

Just to make sure I read it right. 40 ounces of oil to 1 gallon a gas?

3.2 oz of oil per gallon of gas to get 40:1

It's easier to remember 16 oz per 5 gal or 1 quart (32 oz) for 10 gallons.

The way these skis drink the gas, you can suck down 10 gal pretty damn quick...

stop by your local auto parts or marine store and get a gas-oil ratio cup. it has the measurement ticks depending on how much gas you're mixing the oil with. for example, I fill up to the 40:1 line under "2.5 gal". do that twice and dump it into a 5 gallon tank.
