    Recessed cleats/hooks

I am now the proud owner of a lime green 15F. Great ski and I'm having a ball with it. Its pretty much pushing all my buttons. I DO however wish that there was at least one of the recessed hooks on or near the bow as opposed to having four on the stern (plus the tow hook). I've tied it up at my buddy's dock a couple times overnite and it's a PITA to reaching underneath to get to the bow hook. Has anyone looked into adding additional hooks? I'm wondering if I can get the same part number hooks as they use in the rear and add one on each side maybe a foot aft of the bow.

    Thoughts?

    Recessed tie downs

If you want to stay "stock", use Kawasaki Part numbers:

    27012-3828-F2 Hook
    13271-3755 Plate
    11061-3730 Gasket
    411S0500 Washer (two ea.)
    92015-3709 Nut (two ea.)

Remove one of your rear tie downs, make a template of the hole and do the cut out where you want it in the front; make sure you have access to install the washers/nuts from the inside before you cut through the hull. You'll end up with stock-looking tie downs for mooring lines (or whatever) and have an (almost) flush installation that won't 'hook' your foot. I looked at the pop-up cleats also, but didn't like the fact that some required a drain line and compromised the 'waterproofness', so I'm going with the stock setup on my Ultra LX's.
