Ocean Pro Head - Fuji 750

Just curious what the benefits of an Ocean Pro 750 head would be?

I spoke with Ken and he said I could still run 89, so I am guessing it doesn't raise the compression too much?

Besides having more even cooling and a more rigid top end, what other benefits would I see? Any HP gains?

    Higher compression will boost acceleration.

The OP head has a few guys that dislike the dome of that head. They think it makes it more prone to detonation because of hot spots.

I've been using one on My ride zzzz and doesn't seem to have any issues.

    It's up to you.

Rob, if your hell bent on getting some higher compression an cant find a OP headjust have your domes made bigger...I did this to my sxi pro becuase my engine builder to me that the head girdle kits basically suck an crack cylinder cases.

Making your domes BIGGER would LOWER your compression.

I know what you're getting at though.

Rob, he means you can send your stock heads to places like Watcon.com or Sharpes Marine to have the heads shaved and domes recut for higher compression.

Randy at Watcon did mine for about $40 ea. That's prob around the same cost of an OP head you may find.
