    TRUE thru hull exhaust

    ok i have the racing box and i was mainly woundering what are the good sides and bad sides on running a straight pipe off the bottom of the manifold to my thru hull exhaust

    So how do you like the waterbox? Did you mod your stock box prior to installing thr RR one?

    yeah i used for right now so i can ride this weekend the stock rubber exhaust hose and i already have it shaped in very good i just need to take that hose to a metal shop well find some one who does madrul bending and get them to make the exhaust but yeah its all in im just think bout not using it and running straight pipe to my thru hull so i can if i dont use it hook ya up with the box and the hose so yeah ill let ya know what i decide on

    This is what I run. It's a little more complex. RR box, with relocated exhaust pipe and bung! This is about as "true" as you can get without sinkin' her. Sounds ridiculous by the way!

    There ya go,,,this is more or less what my waterbox will eventually look like. But in honesty, I love they way it performs right now.

    Stan - Borderline obnoxious! The higher it revs, the louder it gets. It processes some serious flow though. Incidentally, this setup has officially cured my battles with the hi-temp sensor.

    FYI - My j-pipe is cut 1/2" below the 3 pissers at the end of the pipe. The entire black insert in gone. Boys at PPG know their stuff!

    Jer - hard to tell with only 30 minutes on it. I would say it's DEFINITELY not slower. I ran 80.8 with 6 bars! It sounds awesome though. You punch it @ 60 mph and it lets out a roar. Nearby boaters were startled!

    All things being equal, I would say that I might have picked up 50 rpm from it. Imo naturally.

    my j-pipe is cut right below the pissers.
