Have you confirmed that you have full battery voltage right at the CDI Red/Purple wire (with the other meter probe on the CDI black wire)?

Battery voltage at the CDI must be over 10.5 volts while the engine is cranking, or you will not have spark.

If you hold the bilge button down while cranking, do you have spark?

If the above are correct, and the stator and ignition coil has been tested good, then it is probably the CDI that needs replacing.

Just in case, disconnect the lanyard stop switch Black/Yellow wire from the CDI, and re-check for spark.

Note that on the twin engine, both spark plugs must be in the plug boots, and connected to the engine block, in order for either spark plug to have spark.

ok have power at the cdi 12.2 volts while cranking (red/purple) to cdi ground (black)

bilge pump on and kill switch (black/yellow) unhooked...still nothing....

i'm going to re-check all my other tests....from your knowledge base....again....

if the CDI is toast where is the cheapest place to find them? and i also have a SLH 700 of the same year (2001) is the cdi swapable for testing? thanks again!!!!!!!
