Thread: Polaris Rant

Ok, I heard that Polaris corporate asked for all the official Polaris documents to be removed from this site. If this isn't true disregard the following
So let me get this straight...
- they dropped their watercraft line
- a lot of dealers won't touch watercraft anymore
- new oem Polaris watercraft parts are getting harder to get
- they won't let anybody have digital wrench (they could release a watercraft only version if they really wanted to)
We had a database of documents to help each other out, and Polaris actually went after the poor PWC owners who still have pride in their Polaris PWC.....ha!
I could actually see if we had documents pertaining to products that they still make and service.
Don't worry Polaris, BRP is the only company I will be dealing with for new recreational products...

Yep . I agree with all your points.
Makes you wonder what line they will drop next? Should anybody invest anything in their other products ? Judging how they have handled the PWC community , I would not wish this on other Polaris owners.

P.S. it is ILLEGAL to republish ANY polaris document that has not been authorized by them....this includes anything they publish...and yes that goes for service manuals, Service Bulletins etc.......
Don't keep pushing the issue guys...Polaris has alot more money and lawyers than greenhulk and could easily make BIG problems,,,,,,

I agree, and I am not looking for service manuals, and I don't want the site to get into trouble.
I just don't like how their PWC customers got treated as mentioned above.
They could just release all the PWC stuff to the public if they really wanted to.

I love my Polaris skis. Polaris seriously lacks customer service PERIOD! I would have to ask my dealer if there were any updates to my ski when it was new because they would not notify me. Lucky I became friends with the mechanic and he would have me check stuff. After the one year warranty was up, you would have to pay for recalls out of your own pocket. The mechanic felt bad and would perform the service for free as long as I paid for the part. Nice guy, He was just an employee. (Example: fuel filler neck) I'm sure Polaris is losing Millions of dollars cause some of us are trying to keep their misfit orphan skis running. I don't think so. If they want more money make us some more parts cause I could use a storage knob for my SL and My SLX.

we do try and keep the IP (intellectual property) from companies off the boards.
Corporations, can and will sue the SHIT out of you. Take it serious.
Polaris customer relations has always been shaky. It's not because the staff didn't care... they are as handcuffed as employees as any other corp employee. When the rug got yanked out of that division, we all got shafted...
Lawyers and HR run everything. Get used to it.
