Broken fins on pump jacket - 07 RXP
The black piece that funnels the water to the pump on an RXP and has the fins which i think is called the pump jacket... well it has some broken fins. how critical is this piece? They arent all the way broken but the back half on 4 of them has broken off. The guy before me must of sucked up a person because the prop has been nicked and the wear ring was toast. The prop i can fixed and the wear ring i JB welded until i put in a SS one this winter. I probably will ride less then 5 hours before winter so it will hold me over until then. What is a good prop for a stage 1 ski plus exhaust mod? Want to keep my rpms around 8100.

Some of the models don't have the guide fins in. The RXT is one.
They are supposed to help guide the water in to keep the flow straight before it gets to the pressurising and twisting of the flow.
Some remove them, and some dont.
There will be claims about both options. If they are broken, maybe it's best to remove them altogether and smooth it all out.

I accidently did some gravel crushing with my RXP-X and did the same thing. Guys told me to remove all fins damaged or not. I've experienced no problems.
