    Payment methods

Besides Paypal, what is a good way to accept payments for products sold on forums?

    TIA

    How does that work.
The buyer goes to post office and pays obviously, but how do I collect?
How about confirmation so I can ship the stuff?

    I like cash too...

    How about bank transfer?

    Is that safe?

Paypal is the fastest and by far the easiest.. but the fees suck.

Money orders just take too long... and sometimes they never come and you have to wait even longer before you can give up on it.

Make sure you follow their rules and are educated on the user agreement and paypal is the way to go.

I know, but there's a time issue involved.

A member from Malaysia needs some of my parts. He applied for Paypal account but that won't be activated for a few days.
His brother is in Texas and will be taking the parts back with him on Friday 9/25. So he can go to USPS or any Wells Fargo (my bank).

    Any ideas?

I have used bank transfers for International shipments they work good but some banks have pretty hefty charges to handle it. If the amount is big enough it is worth it because you definately have your money in your account. They cannot come back later like PP and get it back.

Lots of choices and all have goods and bads you have to decide what you are willing to put up with.

    Thank you, John.

I might be needing your services to ship my 787 engine.
    Hopefully soon...

my bank strongly recommends not doing wire transfers with people you don't know, especially out of the country. I am dealing with a similar issue. They say that the money is safe, but you still have to give the buyer some important personal banking info for it to go through. . . they suggested western union.
