    Slt 750 new owner

Greetings to all- I just picked up a project boat .very familiar with kawi, nem to polaris. My question is the front cyl. has 120 PSI, middle cylinder 120 PSI , Real cyl o PSI ,Do I just repair yhe one cyl. or get all three while Im there Not sure how piston lost compression but crank rotation is very smooth & easy no noise. thnks for any input

take the plug out and look at the piston. Did it burn a hole through it? From what I know it's a pretty common thing to happen when running lean.

    Welcome to the Polaris side.
Pull the head on the dead cylinder to inspect. I suspect you have a hole in the piston. Post a picture when ya do. 120 psi is the norm. With that said, I'd just rebuild that one cyl, and fix the problem that caused it to happen, and ride if the other pistons are without damage.

Any slight mods , that can be done while its apart. Do I have to leave oil injection in place or can I remove & go premix

It's all listed in here. Just start looking at other guy's "how do I make it faster" posts.

I know this isnt probaably your problem with the ski but i'll just tell ya anyways.lol I had 0 in 2 clyinders and a 125. I accidentially switched the cooling hoses and heated 2 clyinders.
When I did the comp check, it was cold . I checked the head bolts and they were all loose from being hot. the pistons were fine. caught it in time. Just a thought, see if there loose. then check compression again, otherwise...burnt piston probably like they said. Welcome to the HULK by the way.

I very much appreciate all the feed back, WOW the links for polaris parts & info were great, I sometimes have a hard time getting any info. or feedback over at pwc today, when Im dealing with my kawis. So thanks to all for the helpful introduction into polaris. Just wondering Is the slt 750 a very fast or well handeling boat

You'll get much faster and more useful info here than you'll ever get at the "other" site.

The SLT 750 will prob run around 48 MPH tops in stock form.

It will handle quite well though. The guys seem to like the way the ski handles and gives the ability to play still.

They keep talking about the SLT slide when doing donuts, so it must be fun.....
