    gp1300r head question

I have an 05 gp1300r and I am looking for riva or r&d heads. My questions is can I use heads off a gp1200r? Is there a difference between the 1200 and 1300 heads? Thanks

Yes the difference is the 1200 head has a smaller diameter squish than the 1300. The best thing to do if U want to stick with a stock head is send your head off to Lowell and he can recut the 1200 to accomodate the 1300 size.

    they are different.

you can have the 1200r heads converted to 1300r heads.

Have you considered having the stock heads modified for a higher compression ? (speak to jim)

Jim is in florida AKA Jim's Performance give him a call, it's on his signature. Just do a search on Jim's Performance. Oh by the way based on the post count I wanted to say welcome to Greenhulk.

Jim is the man, cut head for the win. What other mods are you running? You'll want to pick up a fuel controller and hopefully have some hook up mods done.

The ski is still stock. I just picked it up 2 weeks ago and I am trying to figure out a game plan. So much info on here and different options its hard to find what best. I don't plan on setting land speed records, I just want it to hook up and pull to the point my arms hurt. haha
I have been throwing around a few thing so far:
IR or jetworks hole shot kit
free flow exhaust, whats the difference between riva and r&d?
    efi controller
    power plentum
    d plate
    step sponsons
    seal the pump shoe
    reinforce the tunnel
not sure on a good all around grate
not sure on ride plate either
    high compression head
    not sure what prop?
I ride in all conditions, not much glass so mostly chop. That list should clean out the piggy bank but if I am missing something please let me know. Thanks for the welcome!!

why the 1200 grate over the 1300? What is the difference? What about r&ds power sleve? Do they actually help low end that much?
