    Factory Spec1 vs. Spec2 for 787

    OK. Just heard that the Spec2 is notorious for eating up PTO pistons.

    I have a Spec1 that has performed flawlessly. Just wondering what the claimed or actual hp gain is with the Spec2.

    Anyone?

    correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the differnce between the two just the exhaust manifold? the chamber is the same? plus the ecwi.

    Yes, you are right. They do make two different chambers though. One is a shorter higher rpm race chamber. It sacrifices torque on bottom end. Not a choice for rec use.

    2 stroke pipes are all about scavenging,, the closer you tune to the "fine" line the closer you are to engine failure when a variable changes ever so slightly. Such as air density, you won't feel it but your motor will.

    it is your call,,,,, if your pockets are not real deep, then those last few MPH should stay where they are.
