Turbo Setup for RXP/RXT/GPRXP
i'm getting all excited about doing 1/4 mile bracket drag racing after talking to Joe today.
I'm going to sell my turbo and put a SC back on the BB.
I have no idea what this thing is worth, but I'll ask $2200 and see what happens. Pictures to follow. This fits a RXP/RXT/GPRXP. I think I have over $4000 invested.
I have the TIAL waste gate springs to give you 20psi, or you can run the manual boost valve included, and tune it in, or run an electronic boost valve controller. I'll throw all of that in the box. It comes with the TIAL BOV and adaptor pipe as seen below, as well as couplers, piping, etc... You will probably have to tailor-fit it to your application and IC.
The spool time on this thing is very quick, but somewhat unpredictable QUICK for bracket racing.

This is when I initially set it up, using 90deg bends. While it looks very shiny and nice, 45deg bends are much more power friendly, so I went down that road.
After that, I went with the 45deg route.
Rear hook up to the port side exhaust mod.
Out of the ski.

Why are you selling the turbo to go with a SC to drag race-or did I understand the post wrong?

Bracket racing. Very, very, very tough, with a fast ski, and DAMN tougher with something that might spool inconsistently.
The turbo is going to be the top-shelf-doggie for performance in EVERY situation, except maybe leaving the line, or consistant back/back runs, or maybe hot environments...
I might actually run a Rude1 on my first race, just to get used to it!
EDIT: and if I could afford both, I'd keep the farkin turbo, and put it in something later, or make it so that I could swap it out, if needed. Sadly, my monies is hurting badly.

What are the specs of the turbo?

Not real sure. It's the one Stickem made for Jerry's store a couple of years ago.
