Honda going bye bye??
Looks like Honda is putting production on hold for 2010. Hope they aren't pulling out. Like my Honda, Love my Kawa & Polaris pile of poop though!

They are just suspending production of the wave runners as they have a huge amount of stock. You can still get brand new 05-06 R12x's, so I think its a smart decision. Hopefully they develop another musclecraft that beats out the Doos.

Well as a honda pwc dealer the little info we are being given is not real positive. If i were to guess (an educated guess that is), don't expect to buy a honda pwc newer than 2009 maybe ever. And as for the honda beating seadoos, i dont think that would have happened anyway , honda never intended on going after the performance market.

They are getting hammered by the down turn. More so in the small motor type things, bikes and such. Their marketing programs via their dealerships and such are not very aggressive, and they need to support their dealers better. All of them, not just the few.
This is how it began with Polaris. That is why I posted as they may be going bye bye. It would be a bummer and a mistake, in my opinion. They do need to get real on the pricing, and I tell you what, the Honda vs. Seadoo stuff is silly. The Honda is a great cruiser, very reliable, and sips gas. The Doo is a lot more "spiffy" if ya will. There are quite a few Honda's out here in SoCal.

if it's just your opinion then how about saying that. Corp PR is not fact..in most cases it's fiction and bs.
Imo, honda is finished. This stmt about stopping production is just phase I markieting plan to help the dealers sell remaining stock..buyers less likely to buy if they tell the truth; that if sales dont pick up all over then honda will be retrenching and refocusing on core product and pulling out of watercraft altogether. A LOT of sales will have to happen for them to change their phase II plan and announce the pull out. It's just a marketing plan and PR bullchit to help clear existing inventory without having to make huge markdowns.
