top speed but what is your 0-30/0-60

we all like to check our garmins out for our REAL top speed, but what measuring instrument is out there to give you "fractions" on holeshot 0-30 , 0-60 , i've been searching (GH,google)something where you can carry on the ski and will tell you what #s at those increments, like the manufacturers speed testing?

Dave, here is the BEST method I've found for doing this. There were even some friends who helped me put together a video....
    Hope this helps.

This is the only information I have about acceleration, this was a 1200 tripple from years ago back when Kerry first put tripples on his ski- notice the top speed was only 80mph.

I'm sure later when when we went to big bores and started to run 85mph+ the acceleration picked up some. So 0-60mph in sub 3 second range is kick ass. This was measured with a radar gun.

    0 to 20 1.02 sec.
    20-30 .55
    30-50 1.01
    50-75 3.07

    0 to 30 1.57
    0 to 60 3.34
    0 to 79 7.6
    Top speed 80.81

    garmin

i looked in manual dave, and called garmin ,nah, i 'd like to be able to check an instrument that has the data when you reach certain speeds like a stop watch, there's probability not something out there, you can just attach or leave on your ski and check afterwards if there is, somebody might know

I think he was using a stalker radar gun with software that measured acceleration time. Check with Jerry I think he has this and even measured his ski.

There is no way a gps will be accurate, too much time delay. The gps will always be reading what u were doing in the past.
