    GPR auto-drop and quick-drop questions

    Auto-Drop

    1. Does this retain the stock trim system?
I've read two differet places that it does AND it doesnt.

    2. If so, does it auto-drop regaurdless of where the trim is set?

ie: If I'm riding in 5* down and turn, it drops to 10* down, If I'm riding in 5* up it drops to Neutral?

    3. In rivas catalouge it says "includes manual trim feature for improved hole shot" (which Im assuming is a lever similar to a quick drop) How far down does this drop the nose? 5*? 10*?

    4. Does it ever come out of adjustment?

    Quick-Drop

    1. What is the adjustment on the nozzle? Does it drop 5*? 10*?

    2. Can this be setup to drop/return at any angle you wish?
ie: Can it be setup to drop to 5* down when depressed and trim 5* up when released?

    3. Using the example of 5* down/5* up if I pull the lever and hold it in the middle will my craft now be trimmed in nuetral?

    4. Does it ever come out of adjustment?

Really? Nobody has an auto-drop or a quick-drop?

Dave, I have the lever type drop kit from Riva... I have the nozzle set to neutral, when you pull the lever the nozzle drops.
Awesome holeshot aide!!!, used for competition, but I have it on my rec ski. I use it for launching and planing off, and in the turns it will turn very aggressively even with stock stepped sponsons.

remember this mod is for competition, I use it for rec riding, but i have a very good angle on my ride plate. so even with the nozzle starting in the neutral position I still have plenty of bow lift.

like any other cable operated system, if the cable joints are tight, you shouldn`t have any issues...

with the nozzle set in the neutral position, it almost drops the nozzle all the way down, I would guess equivalent to the last click in the quick trim system. I never measured it, so I don`t have the degree`s...

    I hear ya, Thanx!

I guess I'll call Riva and R&D and see what they say about the auto-drop. If it keeps the ability to manualy shift the trim, then I'll go with that. I need the ability to adjust my trim based on the amount of fuel left for the racing I do but would like to have one less thing to do while taking a corner

The new ones are the ones that let you keep the trim. There is a rod on the top that lets you connect the trim cable to and it slides it one position down or up.

It is a lever so the amount it pushes down does not change but where it starts does based on the trim system.
