    Bad Vibration this weekend...

I was out this weekend and during a wot run across the lake I suddenly felt something go wrong so I slowed down and engine seemed to be running really rough. when I applied throttle there was a very bad vibration! couldnt go more than 2-3k rpm! I am thinking that it is bearings somewhere. I really dont know where to start any ideas?? there arent any lights or warnings. It seems to run ok on the trailer. maybe a little rough but nothing like when it is under load.

Did you look up under the ski and make sure nothing is stuck in the grate?

I have a vibration at 3-4k rpm and thought it was the pump bearings. I replaced everything in the pump, tried different impellers and still have the vibration. For some reason I am thinking mine started with the E1 S/C wheel (issue with the type 20 I/C? ). Got me...

Stop giving FAT CHICKS rides on your Yamaha...

I'm going to pull the pump this weekend. may take the shaft to a machine shop so they can test for straightness and look at the bearings.
my vibration seems to bad to ride it...
I felt it when it happened. maybe it was the fat chick falling off...I need to keep her on. maybe I can use my tiedowns to keep her onboard.

Can you actually hear the vibration as well as feel it?

If you can, pull the pump out and start the engine, sit on the ski and see if you can still feel/hear the vibration. If it goes away the problem is in your pump. Have someone hold the pump while you take the shaft between your hands and spin it. If you can hear any kind of a fluttering sound or it does not spin very smoothly, then you have a bad pump bearing.

After you do this you will at least know where the problem is. Pump or something else.

Sucks man. Hope you get it figured out.
