Knock Percentage (Without SKM)
I am seeing a consistant 28%-30% on Knock 1 and Knock 3.
Knock 2 and Knock 4 are logging 20%. Shoud I be concerned about the higher percentages?

The numbers you are seeing are not a usable. They are random voltage numbers generated by the knock sensor. With out the SKM to process the knock signal it is not a function that is usable.

I didn't think that the Motec did knock control?
What is the SKM you are talking about Nils?

SKM is the Stand Alone Knock Module
This is a seperate black box that is wired into the M400 and knock sensor.
The knock sensor wire is currently direct into the M400 but this is for convieniance only and does not serve any real useful purpose.
When fitting the SKM we remove the knock sensor wire from the M400 connector and connect it to the SKM
More info on the SKM can be found in the manual on our website
Knock User Manual (SKM and OKM)
