Speeds with a stock x charger

    whats up guys,

i just thought i would share my latest speeds on my 04 rxp with a STOCK X CHARGER and RIVA ECU. this ski is also set up with a riva stage 1 as'well as a 4'' rear intake, rotax retainers, 50lb injectors, SFR ported head, SFR ride plate, SFR mod impeller, SFR mod XS intercooler, SFR light valves, SFR light cam + cam gear.

i just built this ski this winter but did not fire it up untill 3 weeks ago and have been testing & tuning from day one with awesome results. i never intended to use an X CHARGER on this ski.... i was originally going to use a 16lb boost charger but had some issues with getting the charger to hold so i dropped in an X CHARGER as a goof just so i could do some riding before the end of the summer.

so here goes after a lot of prop tuning 84.5mph 8600rpm with a 1/2 tank of fuel... and that is with my weight of 300lbs on the ski. the charger is showing 13lbs of boost and on a good day i see 14lbs of boost the ski runs 81.8 - 82mph sitting the seat holding a video camera. i have video of the ski running that i will post later..... jason of {blackmagic headers} was @ my house on sunday and road the ski for the first time and clicked off 2 passes of 82.8mph on the limiter.

NEXT WEEK I WILL BE INSTALLING AN E-TECH 137mm DROP IN WHEEL AND HOPE TO SEE SPEEDS OF 86+mph......

i'm curious to know if anyone else has experimented with the X CHARGER and what were there results.

The best we saw with the stock x-charger with a rotax ecu was about 83 mph but that was with a stock rideplate and it was only a stock x-charger for a couple weeks before upgrading so we didd'nt play with it much. Great numbers though!. Especialy with 300 lbs on it.

Erik... sounds like a well tuned combination.

Tell me something... how was "idle" and "off idle response" with the 50's? I just installed an X charger and 48 lb injectors in one of my Limiteds. It also has XS IC, 4" air intake, and 8600 rpm ECU... No RRFPR! I'll be trying it this weekend and will let you know the results.

Have not had the honor of seeing a freight train go fast.

I know you can build a fast ski cause I have seen it.

Not him, I have purchased some cool parts from him for my RXP>

the first 1/4 throttle off idle is a little rich and hesitates a bit but if you hit it hard or just a lill fast you dont feel it at all. yea, the best thing is you dont even need a rrfpr and you dont need to do any tuning with fuel. please let me know how you make out!!!!

the mod on the xs is where i cut down the tanks so that there is less volume in the intercooler. this will pick up boost and throttle response.... and make a noitceable difference.
