Only one or two steps, no maybe three, Remove pump, send to Dave at impros, have him rebuild, get pump back and reinstall. Some ppl on here have done his wet pump mod and likes them. Try searching Dave at Impros, you won't regret.

Try the shop manual (this is for 15F but there are ones for the Ultra which are similar by design). You will need special tools to do the job. The shaft splines on the impeller and shaft will need to be held and seals will need to be replaced along with the bearings. Circlip pliers and bearing/seal drivers-pullers can be acquired anywhere and often improvised.Page 275 or so. Hope this has been a little more helpful and enables a wise and informed judgement call. If need be I can dig up the ultra 250 manual.

what is so complicated about the pump that you cant do it yourself? i did the pump on my raider no prob, it was easy

It's not hard, you need to get the impeller off the shaft to access the bearings and seals after you pull the pump. You may even be able to hold the driveshaft isolation (flex) coupler at the rear of the engine with a fabric strap wrench and break the impeller shaft torque before pulling the pump-not sure with this machine but it worked on older skis. I'll be pulling my pump this winter for inspection and if it needs bearings I will do that too, it's all part of the hobby.

Everyone thinks the seadoo supercharger rebuild or washer change is a big deal, all I needed was one tool for the seal holder, the rest was easily improvised from shop tools I had.(I'm not the smartest light bulb in the string either)

I always encourage people to wrench and learn however there are those who are incapable; those who should send the parts or machine out to a competent person. These people can sometimes unknowingly think most others have the same thinking pattern and abilities. The poster is willing to buy the tools so what better situation could a hull slapin wrench ask for!

I would advise to get a service manual if you haven't removed one before , especially if you are going to replace the bearings and shaft it will also tell you which tools you need to do it..i got one off ebay as they are not so easy available in europe
