    97 XP rebuild

I've read that after a top end rebuild it's a good idea to run a tank of 50:1 pre mix gas plus run the injection pump. Isn't that a lot of oil? seems like you would foul plugs. Any thoughts?

If you are that worried that is was oil injection,,, remove the system and just premix at 40:1

running the injection and mix makes the engine lean on fuel,, even though you have all that oil,

Simple enough to check the oil pump using the shop manuals guide

oil pumps are not reliable, you got an engine spinning thousands of rpm and that little pump will give up sometime, they tend to fail after its winterized, not moving for so many months and then being used thats when they fail, go with the premix bro. its 100% peace of mind, dont learn it the hard way,
