Right now its me, Rxptina, Stitaxi, and maybe gobbles2700 plus whoever else posts up.
We rode the Ct river last saturday around the hartford area. It was good riding except for my driveshaft seal blowing out on my RXP.. lol.
Im going to borrow a friends ski to ride this weekend.
Down near 95, there is good riding and you can access the sound- north, you can ride all the way up into Mass and etc. In the middle, around middletown, there is about 20min of no wake zones which sucks. Some of the ramps are still charging for out-of-towners. Rocky Hill tried to charge us $30!! We drove ten minutes up the road and launched for free just outside of Hartford.

we don't know the area at all. We don't mind driving to meet up with you guys.
Could you give me directions to some of the ramps?
There will be 6-8 of us.
I think if we could meet somewhere near the casinos that would be about 1.5 hours for us. Any areas to launch near there?

Stitaxi lives in madison so he would know best about the ramps in the 95 area. Ive only ridden off of 91 up hear hartford. He will see this thread when he comes on later and post up.

That sounds like the best bet for the guys coming from the casino area. Hit the Baldwin Bridge launch and head North straight up the river. The launch basically dumps you in right at the mouth of the river.
You'll never make the entire trip North and back without refueling however. There are places on the river that sell fuel. I can't make the trip, but I will call the 3 places in PORTLAND for you guys/gals and see if they're going to be open for fuel and if so, their hours on Saturday. There are places in HADDAM too, but I don't know the names of them and if you're going to ride the river, you really should see it all the way up through MIDDLETOWN/PORTLAND area. Beautiful, beautiful river.
Gillette's Castle in East Haddam. Keep an eye to your right heading up river for it. I've attached a pic viewing it from the river.
I'll post my findings later tonight for you guys.
