if you look up your ski in OEM parts it shows where the hoses go

You will want the hose from the pump (supply) to go to the lowest fitting, and the highest fitting will go to the engine/exhaust. The reason is that the supply of water coming into the cooler will push out the air and it will do this easily if the cooler is filling up from the bottom to the top. Water coming in at the top and trying to go downwards will cause air to be trapped in the cooler and be less effective. This logic applies to all situations where there are two hoses and fittings that can be interchanged. Fluid should always enter at the bottom and rise to the top to keep air from getting trapped.

    Good luck
