GP1200R target rpms?
I put a Tiny Tach on my brothers 2000 GPR the other day and saw that it is only turning about 6840 rpms with fresh spark plugs. Runs great, very mild setup with stock carbs, milled stock head, Riva ride plate, grate, tabs, Solas 14/20 impeller, otherwise pretty stock, runs 68 - 69 mph GPS (does have all new power valves, keepers, couplers, D plate, all the usual upgrades). Not necessarily looking for more speed, but the rpms seem a bit low ... I don't even know what size the stock nozzles are on the 2000s, but should I try to get the rpms up a bit? Could I do it with a nozzle swap, or should I pull the impeller back a little?

Should be in the 7100-7200 range. The 14/20 is probably too steep for those mods on a 1200.
