    Mod performance & tunning questions...

Ive been doing alot of reading and trying to decide witch way to go with the mods. At first i was thinking of a green wheel but now im thinking of an X set-up. want to do X charger and ecu 42's xs innercooler but im not sure if this will give me the gains im looking for. I was going to go with the X ecu to avoid using an RRFPR. How hard is it to keep a ski tuned with an rrfpr and are there any do's and dont's i should know of when tunning an rrfpr. if its an easything to do i might aswell drop a bigger charger in it My goal is 80 and im mechanically inclined.

with a X charger and a XS IC and Riva ECU with the 50's u will run 80+ plus all the other mods like plate, and wedge and stuff like that, this hull is the limiting factor in getting speed.

with an XS IC and the X charger u need to run a RRFPR with the 42's even with the X ECU cause the fuel pump in an X runs at a higher voltage then a 215 pump.

could i upgrade the pump with the walbro 255? My goal is 80 with stock rpm's and no rrfpr but not sure its possible

Why dont you want to run a rrfpr? You could run a Rude Fuel Controller instead of rrfpr. The problem is finding somebody to tune it right for u.

If you want to run 80mph on stock ecu and no rrfpr here is what I would do:

    Rude2 or 3, ET68-140- take your pick
    Rude fuel controller w/ 55s or 60s
    XS intercooler
JD1 open loop w/ Riva rideplate
    Solas 15/22
and all the other parts to install the above

run x-charger, rrfpr at 50psi, stock injectors, intercooler, 4" intake, 14/19r impeller (depending on altitude, I'm at 2200'), the ski pulls good.

then when you are ready for the next step. riva pro-x-charger upgrade, then all you will need is 48lb injectors & a 15/20r. adjust the rrfpr & you are good to go.

Dont want an rrfpr cause ive never use one befor I dont like learning the hard way so im a little cautious about using one, still new to pwc's. but seems if i want anything bigger then a green wheel ill need an afr gauge an rrfpr. how offten would i have to mess with the rrfpr to keep the ski in the right afr ratio through out the season.

go with the rrfpr, easy to install & adjust. once you get it set, you are done.
