    Clutch Upgrade - which route?

Before we do any mods, we are looking at getting our Ski as reliable as possible so that we have a good base to build from. We have not touched it for nearly two years since, in the UK, it looks like ANY mod.s can affect your waranty.

The first thing we are going to look at is the Clutch - going to metal washers. Is upgrading the 05 clutch to metal adequate or should you go all the way, change to 06/metal?

I think the 06 has a bigger shaft and will presumably take more abuse in terms of running a higher slip moment/ultimatley allowing more boost with other mods?

... also what are the relative costs of the two routes?

To run the 06 metal washers you must upgrade to the 06 spec rebuild kit. The 06 is a heavier duty kit, but not really necessary. You could save yourself the money and just drop the 04-05 metal washers into your supercharger.

If you do choose to upgrade to the 06 spec it is here:

greenhulk coupon code gets you a discount off of that price

Also, don't forget to add the metal washers at a cost of $90

Top Banana - we're in Southampton and Ski on the Solent, launching at Calshot

    Jerry/anyone:
In changing the clutch, I need to remove the SC with a modified Torx socket, right - does anyone have a photo of what this looks like?

Also, I have heard I may need to "re-shim" the washers after 20 hours or so - are these available here as I don't want to be "grounded", at any time?!

Do I need to replace the needle roller-bearings (90 hours on Ski)

    Any other essential bits/tools required?

    Thanks,

    BIC1
