Thoughts about my setup (I wanna go fast)
I tried to post this thread in 2 stroke performance but I couldn't so I will post it here.
I just got this jet ski 2000 GP1200r with a blown engine but with some good parts on it:
R&D ride plate
Carbs with 125 main, 110 pilot, choke removed, F/A, pop off just set to 45psi(previous much higher), 1 turn low, 1 1/2 high and primer
Riva stinger 3, D plate and free flow
Engine will have a 3* keyway, new pistons and a 140psi milled head (thanks to Ron) and will run 93 octane gas
Previous engine had #3 cyl and piston completly busted, the rod was thrown outside the crank case and #2 piston had some signs of detonation. Possibly combination keyway with low octane gas?
I did some research on the forum and the setup is more or less ok except stinger and keyway.
What do you guys think about this setup before I put the whole engine together, any imput is appreciated.

OK for starters
- you can't have a D-plate and a stinger 3, it is one or the other. D-plate goes in stock exhaust stinger which will yield more speed.
- Seal the pump shoe
- what size and type impeller?

With the key on a stock carbed ignition be very careful cruising around that 5k rpm range... I wouldn't hang there to long.

The tunnel is not reinforced yet. I will try to do that (according to this forum specs) before it hits the water.
It has a Riva plate and a Riva Top loader grate.
