    Smile Hello from a new member

    I finally registered and signed up here, so I thought I'd take a moment and say HELLO and introduce myself. Some fine gentlemen from Northeastern Ohio on West Branch Lake told me about this site and that it's the place for Polaris faithful to go.
    My name is Tom, I'm 28, and I was born and I live in the great state of Ohio. I'm a Kent State University graduate and I work in the Medical supply industry. I love sports, especially my Cleveland Cavs and Ohio State Buckeyes. I've been boating since I was 1 week old (yes, really) and into Personal Water Craft since 1995. My passion is in Hi-Performance Motorsports including outboard drag boats, PWC's and American Muscle. I love Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Vipers, Challengers, trucks, lots of bling and fine ladies , working out, piercings/tattoos, night clubs, my friends, and this great country we live in. My family has always been into boating and go-fast equipment; my brother has a race boat like mine, my dad a dragboat and Shelby Mustang, and mother has a Lingenfelter Corvette.
    My current rides are a 1999 Polaris Pro785 race-it is one of the first of the model year, a GMC Jimmy lowered on 20's with custom paint, and my Mirage Jaguar RiverRacer with Mercury 2.5 EFI Drag outboard on nitrous.
    I look forward to enjoying this site. Thanks for reading and God Bless America!

    Welcome to the Hulk

    How does the drag boat acceleration up to 50mph compare with the Pro785?

    Thanks everyone. My PRO785 is currently out of commission, looks like the motor needs everything but rods

    Very similar. I got the PRO new in 1999 and it was unlike anything I'd had. The boat on nitrous has a little of an advantage. That boat runs in the 10's in the 1/4 mile.

    You can rebuild the Pro 785 engine in stock configuration or you can have it BUILT.

    There are a few of those Pro Fuji motors around displacing around 1,000cc - here's one;
    My "new" Sharp's Marine 1010 Pro 785

    Welcome to the hulk. Nice toys! I use to have a 14 ft speedboat with a 155 commercial wayne county sherrif outboard on it. It would beat ANYTHING ON THE LAKE UP TO 50 MPH. Then it was done as far as speed goes. I raced everybody and anything and blew them away so bad, they wouldnt race me anymore.lol The boat weighed 550 lbs, 1/8 inch thick and the ass end was only 4 inches from sinking from a 400 lb motor on it.! Then It got hot, overheated, I parked it, The motor got stolen.....(dumbass's, the motor was junk).lol too funny. The boat was a 1968 P-3 if you ever heard of it. It said BUSHWACKER on the side near the back. Kinda like a old checkmate.
    The front end would rise so high, you couldnt see over the top until you were already doing like 40 and then when it laid down, you were doin 50. about 3 seconds or less. I bet that hooters boat really flies!
