    Are these stock trim tabs?

    Are these trim tabs OEM? It's a 1998 GP1200. If they are OEM then they seem kind of useless, no? I mean, Yamaha could have easily made the hull that shape to begin with.

    Yes they are stock and they will start to sag in the middle and cause a major speed loss, eventually they will break off. Yamaha actually extended the hull to where the trim tabs are on the later 98's and all 99 models. You need to replace those with aluminum tabs.

    Thanks for that info, but I'm actually parting out this ski, so that's why I asked. I guess I'll just junk them!
