You probably already know......they are discontinued, but you can use a 750 stator and flywheel instead of the 785 stator/flywheel

That is what I read as well. I figured I would try and get a used stator/flywheel for a 785 first but that may prove to be difficult.

Chopper901 has both stator and RAD flywheel for sale on Ebay. Make him an offer and see if he'll end auction early???

Don't those RAD flywheels need to be re-torqued every so often??

Checked. Just like every other nut and bolt on the ski periodcally.

They only need to be retorqued after the first 2 hours of operation from when it was new.

The aluminum stretches from the forces applied to it. After that, you should be good to go.

...but it needs to be used with a 750/780 stator, correct?

I would like to stick with the 785 flywheel/stator...but finding a really good stator has proven to be difficult.

Chopper did send me one of his stators from a working boat, and I thank you very much Chopper, but the ohms were a bit out of spec. The last thing I want to do is go through all this again! I still have his stator but will be sending it back to him in hopes of finding one that is perfectly within spec.

Maybe I could work a deal out with ya lugs...new flywheel, that trim motor, a really really good stator, and maybe an assortment of props to try out??
