Raider Ride Plate Cut Off
Here is the spot that the Raider stock ride plate is cut off,to increase the speed, it is just on the other side of the cross rib, but the holes in this plate are a "pita", to fill up with epoxy.....

I know this is mostly a GPR forum, but I'm glad we have you for the Raider crowd.

On the 1100 Raider the ride plate has 6 bolt holes, what I found worked best was to cut off the front of the plate. Cut right across in front of the two middle bolts. Then you just moved the plate forward and only use the 4 front mounting bolts. This will shorten the ride plate but leave the back end stock and allow you to still use your speedo. It improves the handling, doesn't plow as bad and its a little over 1 to 2 mph faster. The great thing is it adds another 5 to 10 mph on your speedo.

Thanks "Boogie", Yud.that is odd ,I did the same thing ,and got decent results, it really makes the stock speedo jump, it also raises the bow up a little, I tried it back to back one afternoon, with aboiut 6 different rideplates, just thought no one would believe me if I told them I cut off the front of the plate and slid it up .......I even tried a jet Dynamics, from DarthRaider, that was a 4 bolt .redrilled for the 6............
