help me decide what to do ???

Ok I have a 04 rxp with 115 hours on it.I took the factory air intake system and supercharger off today.I have the Riva 3" air intake. My question is what to do with the sc.Do I rebuild it to make a little more boost or do I just buy a after market sc.I want a little more accelleration.I want to keep the stock ecu.I want it to be reliable.I am just a rec. rider.I was looking at the x chsrger. Is the factory sc worth modifying ?

    Thanks

IMO for the cost of a X SCer new. That is the route to take. Just place a set of 42lb injecters to up the fuel, and get a prop. I believe a 15-20 repitched for propper 8100rpm's. Go ahead and use the Riva 3 inch.
    Have fun.

I agree on the X SC, but I would step to a 4"...70% more volume over the 3"

will make a huge difference, basically like a stage 3 charger but a tad more boost.73-74 mph easy.

Hell yes it will. If you add an external intercooler youll break 75mph no problem. Weve gone over 76 on one of ours with that setup. Best SC for the money IMO.

Go to a riva ecu and youll break 80.

I would look to pay around 400-450 for a used low hour x charger. they are all over- ebay and on this site.

OK guys this all sounds great. I wish that I lived down south.I live in Ohio and our season is about over.Is this the stock charger off a 255 rxpx ? Does anyone have a part number. Can I get the same results from just adding like a gen II wheel ? I am sure the 4" rear air would provide more air but I'm going to use the 3" because I just bought it.Here is what I think I sould get from what I have read on hear.

Riva 3" intake (because I allready have it)
    X Charger (part #)
    prop (what pitch ?)
will I need to change the injectors ?
what about a surge protector is this a good investment ?

sorry it takes me so long to respond.Im on freakin dial-up.I HATE THIS.

This is the setup we are using currently

    2004 Apple Green RXP
76.1 mph @ 8120 rpm: 4" intake, Rxp-x SC, XS intercooler, 15/20 prop, Riva exhaust, Riva grate and wedge, RE OPAS Block offs, 42# injectors, RRFPR, stock engine and ECU, rideplate holes filled.

If you arent familiar, rrfpr = rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

Were into this ski for about 1500 bucks (the ski was already stage one when we bought it) and it runs a STRONG 75mph with a ton more acceleration than stock.

    You wont regret it.
