    Tiny Tach Commercial Display

Just got a chance to install...wired to the battery and it always displays hours. Anyone have a problem with it draining the battery? What about installing a switch?

I believe the instructions say that the internal battery charges itself off the ski battery, not runs all the time off the ski battery... the base Tiny Tach lasts for over a year constantly displaying the time so this one that recharges itself using the ski battery should last alot longer and not use much juice from your ski... personally, I wouldn't worry about it much during the season and then when you unhook the battery for the end of season just unhook the tach as well...

I have the same tach and already have it mounted, I just need to run the lines to the battery myself.

My Tini (C, version) has been running great from the get go! Love it! PM if you need help. A switch would work bit I save the trouble and used a 9V battery in the glovebox.

how long does the 9 volt battery last? I don't see it draining the ski battery that much...

I've had mine for a year, just haven't hooked it up. Mine works great. Read's very accurately and is/has been durable. Seems pretty hit or miss for some people. Just wanted to know about a drain on the battery. I'm going to install a switch just in case sometime soon.

I only plug it in when I use it. The internal bat will hold all settings and mem. Same battery all summer. No reason it wont last all next summer also.

at best i would bget 15-30 seconds out of it before it flipped out and locked up.

both my boats run advent cdi's.
