Thread: Right Stuff

Hey quick question. When using permatex right stuff for say block offs are intake grate can I use my finger and smooth it out or do I have to keep it as a bead? I ask because I cant get the bottle at a angle to create a bead so I basically put some on my finger and then wiped around the block off. Is this suffice or do I need a bead to keep the water out?

IF you get good you have just enough beed sqush out to rub smooth with your finger all the way arround.
But ususally its not enough or too much.
I must tell you. If you use right stuff on block offs, dont plan on taking them off without removing some of the gel coat.
You dont have to worry about it much on an RXP but for any GTX or RXT, if you ever want to access your thru hull exhaust, be ready to remove RE or block off on left side.
I used regular black silicone on my T-X on the left side.
Sorry to get off topic.

I goop it up and use glass cleaner or simple green with a rag to put a nice seal in the crevice/corners of whatever I"m sealing up..
