In my experience with waterboxes they are definately louder and I do feel better mid range (I compared side to side before and after with the same SLX that I had). However, I experienced no top end and no better holeshot with it. Not worth it (unless you like ringing in your ears) IMO.

no power at all, but they do shave about 12 pounds off the weight or something like that.

From personal experience I wouldnt get it. Had one installed on my sxi pro. The sound is literally deafening, an I pulled it off after that weekend.

I did a side by side comparison.

I found the A/M to be much louder, and have a slight increase in bottom end. Due to less water to expel VS. stock. Also shaves 7 lbs of weight because of less water held inside.

Didn't gain me anything on top. Actually lost a few RPM from stock.

To be fair though, I wasn't adjusted for the waterbox, it was a remove and replace test only.

Not worth it IMO as far as performance goes. If you want to sound like a big block, get one.

Hey X, what about my case, where i just bought a chopper city one for my 1050? Think it will make a difference? I don't know which one to install it on though The sltx is a lot slower coming out of the hole than the SL1050 Virageracer stated it isn't much louder than stock?

a slight increase in bottom end. Due to less water to expel OR the 7 lbs of weight shaved because the water box weighs a lot less A lighter ski is a faster ski. Either way I bought 2 of them at $139 each and sold them on eBay for probably $60 each. People will be sure to give you dirty looks unless ur in the middle of the ocean

    95 SL exhaust hose post

stole this quote cause of the wife's comment....lol

I ordered that blue marbled hydro-turf but they just sent the plain ones. I figured it didnt come marbled precut or something....
