I'm looking for a used RIVA or R&D 1200 grate at a decent price.

    Thanks

Hahahaha. yeah something I read..., true, my opinion as is everyones else based on all hulls not being equal. I personally have not found an out of the box Riva grate to fit exactly like the OEM grate as far as fit, until I tried the Worx grate, didn`t have to touch it, it was true and flat, no grinding, sanding feathering, fact... and it performed exactly what it was designed for in our riding waters...

Hello Duke, I have not recorded speed results as it was not necessary. Everyones riding conditions are different. not just my opinion, but also based on the countless threads on issues with any of these grates. again, owner operator point of view. You have been around here long enough to see many results.
My opinion is that the Worx grate fit and finish is better based on one purchase compared to the few Riva`s/R&D`s I have had and that the worx performed very well in the chop. although I cant say this is apples to apple bc each design has it gains and drawbacks, for me it was noticeably slower.

    Thanks,
    Duke
Just like other members views on other brand watercraft... most mods are tried and tested and compared to a baseline.
another POV or my opinion to use the worx is the double bar design seems to allow less trash in compared to the others. IMHO, I haven`t sucked up any soda or beer cans with the worx but have with the others. could be isolated incident, but it happenes nontheless...

seems like a lot of commotion for passing along a FS thread

It's all personal preference but man you all need to get your panties out of your keesters and back off the personal attacks.

What grate is "best" is all opinion........<<<That's a FACT!!

Nothing new on any of this info.
-The R&D 800 is for speed but prone to cracking
-Worx has a fantastic fit/finish and the hookup is unmatched but you'll lose a bit on top end.
-The R&D 1200 is a good all around grate. Not the best/worst at either speed or hookup.

Joe, sorry your post got taken off topic. I'm sure someones got a good 1200 grate laying around somewhere. Good Luck.
    Doug
