    Question Need some info...

    Hi

Just bought a riva free flow exhaust and a riva intake manifold upgrade kit for my sho... what kind of performance should i be expecting?
Also is it ok to run just those two products with everything else stock?

    Thanks

I did my mods like you are doing--one or two at a time and everything was fine. I noticed with the first mods that I did (FF exhaust, Riva intake and foam removed) that I was cavitating out of the hole.

The stock prop is pretty close to the limiter in stock form so for much of a performance increase, you will need a new prop--this is key.

Best education you can get is click here and read Green Hulk's FZR build up. There's a reason 134,000+ people have hit that thread. I've read it more than once.

It's perfectly fine to run those two things with everything else stock.
Your next step will be the air intake kit.

Here is a graph showing the gains on my ski from stock as to compared with the intake manifold upgrade, power filter air intake and free flow exhaust

    CLICK GRAPH TO MAKE BIGGER

If you look at the graph (green line) showing the run with all the mods you will see it get's wavy near the end. This is because the ski is all over the rev limiter and getting kicked back. When at this level of modifications you will need to go with a higher pitch impeller. Acceleration and top speed will improve when you do.

See signature. I have a SHO Cruiser though, not sure how much of a difference there is between the SHO and Sho C. I'm going to try again maybe this weekend to get a few more .x mph with my setup as I've been told that it should be a bit higher?
