    SBT 4-stroke carnk (New)

I am in need of a crank and I noticed that SBT sells NEW not rebilt 4-tec cranks. Has anyone had any experience with the 4-stroke cranks from them. I know the 2 stock stuff is rebuilt and junk. They also said they have differnt size bearings to get the clearances exactly right

The add says new but if you call and talk to them it is actually a reman and they want your core. I would probably stay away.

I did call and they said they are NEW not rebuilt. I asked then why they need my core crank back. They said they use the cores in there rebuilt motors.

I wonder how you measure the clearance for the bearings with plastice guage if the bolts are streach bolts

You might use your old bolts for checking with plastice gauge and then use new for permanent install.

I checked into their cranks and all i saw was rebuilt cranks and they get your core.

How much they asking for new crank with core exchange.

    sbt crank

when sbt says new crank they mean a crank that is built for them. i used to be at their 4 stroke department frequently. when my motor was built i asked them about their crank and they told me to use the stock crank. from what i know their crank is heavier. i would stick with stock!
