    GP1300R ventilation hoses question

Ski was bone stock, and I'm in the process of doing a few mods. Powerfilter, D-plate, new top end, head milled, free flow exhaust. I currently have the motor out, and I'm trying to "clean up" the hull. On the black flex hose and plastic vent hose with the ball in the middle, can it be removed or re-routed? The wife and inlaws ride this boat, so I'm sure it will be flipped over. Or should I leave it alone because of this?

    Thanks,
    James

I pulled mines out. After every ride i always let my ski air out by removing the bucket and popping the seat up. I find that is the best way to keep mold from building up. IMO i don't think the black holes/vents works

i took the plastic balls/elbows out and uncrossed the hoses and ran them straight down to the same location as the pieces i removed

wakewhornc- So far, I did the exact same thing. Have you rolled the ski over? I'm thinking about putting the waterproof precharger on the air filter just in case.

I have not rolled it over or submerged it since I did this. Only because #3 cylinder ate a piston ring Labor Day weekend, and I havnt got it back together yet. But even with the stock set up when you roll it over it fills the hoses up then when you roll it back it dumps to the bottom of the hull anyways. I dont see why Yamaha did this seems like a waste of plastic to me
