    GSX vs RX size

I just picked up my first GSX last night, but it didnt come with a cover. I found a stock RX cover locally, and I know they are close to the same size, but does anyone know if it will actually work?

The RX is bigger overall and the hood is different.

I think an RX cover would go on a GSX, but the fittment will be, well, challanging due to the rather different profiles.

It would cover the boat, but my have issue if towed (if that is how you roll) or in a strong wind.

If you are going to do that you might as well just save your money and buy a tarp, I guess it all depends, if you are lookihg to have someting that you can drive with it on? or just something to keep the dust off while in the garage.

Most tarps will not breath and should never be used to cover a PWC if it is going to lay on the surface of the boat.

If you suspended it somehow, so that it could move air underneath it, it would be ok.

if using a tarp put a piece of 3 or 4 inch pvc or dryer vent hose in front and rear of ski under the tarp and let it expose beyond the tarp so that air can flow.you can even put screen at the ends.

The ski's gonna stay in my garage at all times in not in use, and 98% of my riding is less than a mile from the house, so I dont take my covers with me. As long as it the elastic edge fits, I'd be happy with it.

As always, thank you for the pefect info when needed. Seeing its only 16cm X 5 cm difference, I doubt a factory RX, cover is going to a be a problem on it.

    Esp for only $40

Just an FYI, I did get that cover last year, and its made several long interstate speed trips with no issues whatsoever. The hood area looks a little baggy due to the profile difference, otherwise its a perfect fit.
