    XPL water box removal

Anyone help me to remove my waterbox (99 XPL) I have disconnected everything but still I cannot shift it enough to get it out of the hull to fit right hand sponson.
    Any tips would be appreciated

You need to call an OBGYN.

Barring that, have pulled the foam off of it?

They have come out, so you know it is not hopeless.

With the foam off lube that sucker up and get to pulling is all I can suggest (this is why I refuse to put sponsons on an XPL).

PM Shooter, I know he swapped one for a DI box on his old XPL. But then, sometimes that kind of traumatic experience can be suppressed by the psyche so he may not remember the incident.

I put a pair Worcs on my wife's 99XPL. I did not pull the waterbox out. I disconnected it and shifted it around so that I could (barely) get to the fasteners. As someone has already said, it's quite a tramatic experience. I would never do it again, but, it can be done. Patience and liquor will help(lots of both).
    Good Luck!

    What was the improvement like?

Atm as i got my ski 2nd hand the old owner told me (not sure if its true) that the worx sponsons got pinched of the ski when it was on the trailer some where.... The backing plates are still on so i might with any luck be able to just bolt up the blades.... Check these pics how does it look?

Does this look at all like a worx backing plate? I can tell something funky is going on....

remove vts, cut the foam off and remove axhaust hose, and then you can get it out.

yes to the vts and cut that foam off and throw it in the trash. Cause if you ever have to take it out again, it will come out 10 times easier. Also, make sure to take the strap off the waterbox.

Do you even know what that means?

That is like Al Gore driving around in a Suburban. The SS drives him in the Suburban, so there
