how do you get the drive shaft out ?

I've read the service shop manual and failing to have all the special tools needed, I can't get the F'in Bellow to go back far enough to get the C-clip off or to even see it...my next option is to just cut the bellow off and get a new one...How is everyone else pulling the drive shaft out...this is an RXT-X...

    Thanks

Leave the pump on to start. Put pbblaster on the shaft at the floating ring.
Use a 1 1/4 end wrench on the floating ring and a 2x4 as a brace against the engine. Force the floating ring backward by pushing the wrench forward so you can reach the c-clip. If the drive shaft moves too far back then pull the pump and put a large nut in the prop hole where the shaft fits then put it back on and try again.

If your a salt water rider, the floating ring can be rusted a bit to the shaft. A FEW TAPS can sometime loosen the ring.

PUll the pump and put something to take up some space in the prop where shaft goes.

I used couple of reverse bushings.

Then reinstall pump, and just snug up pump, dont over tighten.

You should be able to pull back the collar with both hands, hold with one, and remove the c clip.
