I guess I'm the only one living in cold areas. It's been snice saturday night that I installed it.Took till today to get the damper set right and the feed rate of the pellets set. But I love it so far. My heating bill this year should be about half of last years on Propane....Sorry Hank Hill

never tried it...I got 200k bushels in bins next to the shop so this would have been great if it was what prices are today. for corn I was burining about a bushel and a half a day after I got it warmed up. if it was really cold or I turned it off for a couple days, it took 3 bushels to get it warmed up and back to normal. (1 bushel = 56lbs)

LOL, so you are one of the farmers that will say the corn is too expensive to burn, because you can get more on the market for it?

I have a buddy like that,It is all $ and cents. For some reason,I just don't think that way. I'd say I have it and don't have to pay someone else for something. Guess it's a good thing I don't farm.

How big of shop was you heating?

lol, yea. well I did a little simple math...it was twice as cheap at that point to burn propane. the shop that I am heating is 40x40 and the walls are 15ft and peaks to almost double that. sad thing is I need a bigger shop...nothing really fits in it anymore

With this new farm house I'm sorta covering all my bases,It has a wood Furnace outside that is plumbed into the ductwork.(but no wood cut)

    The pellet stove.

And a 30,000 Propane vent free wall heater.

Next year maybe I'll get time to cut and split all the logs I have stored up.
