    Intercooler DIY ???

Ive decided to build my own intercooler set-up to try and save money (still pricing it out). I plan on buying the intercooler from silicone intakes Question is what size pipes would be best? Im thinking 3" or would i be better off using 2.75? also what size is the TB and SC hose 2.5"?

you can do it...i did ...but i own a race car fab shop ...have cool tools...fizzers kit is reasonable and works

but it is best to keep the tubes small ..the more vol you have the more lag you will have due to the larger vol to be compressed.....the intercooler will have 3 inch inlets the charger ect is 2.75 i think jerry sells a speed freaks bracket

Hey thanks that what i thught, so 2.75 would be best...I just priced it and $300 for all the parts so i save $130 still not sure if its worth the hassel over the savings. If i could get red joiners instead of the blue with the fizzel i would be sold but i really dont like the blue with a red ski lol.

If red joiners are the deal breaker, I can get it done for you. Just let me know.

I've had James's Intercooler setup since 07 and I highly recommend it. By the way I'm thinking your savings will be less than you expect when you take into account the clamps you need plus TX and S/H, IMO. Either way good luck.
