    Pump o-rings

    Does anyone know the actual sizes of the o-rings in the jet pumps? I got bearings and seals, but I don't want to spend a fortune on o-rings when they are available locally for cheap. I specifically need the big one around the cone (wasn't even there) and the driveshaft (again, missing!).

    1994 Polaris SL650 - correct?

    From Parts Pit Stop;
    Stator tail cone O-ring (Propulsion item 10);
    SKU: 5410819 O-RING(10) 1 $0.89

    Drive shaft into impeller nose O-ring (Drive system item 7);
    SKU: 5410731 O-RING(10) 1 $0.89

    See if your local Polaris dealer can order these part numbers for you.

    I will try that. I will just tell them the part numbers because if I even mention the fact that it is for a PWC, they won't order them. They just say that Polaris hasn't made a PWC in many years and their shop never even brought one in when they did make them. Last thing I wan't to do is pay a bunch of shipping on a few dollars worth of parts!

    Well...that worked...I just took the part numbers to the parts counter and said 'order these for me'. No questions asked, except there was one o-ring that they claimed was discontinued. I think it might have been the ones that go on the siphon tube fittings on the pump, but I can probably just measure the old ones and get some from the bulk bins at the auto shop. I was kind of surprised, the costs were almost half of the prices quoted at places online. (And in Canadian dollars too!) The worst was the silly drive shaft bumpers at $4.46 a piece! The o-rings were all about $0.60 a piece. I am going to measure them and record the sizes for each part number in case they decide to d/c them and I need more in the future! Thanks to everyone who suggested to just take the part #'s to the dealer!

    Part number tip - always check the official Polaris Industries parts web site for part numbers.

    Sometimes the online part seller's databases have errors, and do not list the correct part numbers for your model/year.

    In other cases, the seller's don't have the correct supersede (updated) part number, just the original part number.

    Sometimes the best part number to use isn't listed online anywhere

    That's where these Greenhulk forums, and the linked resources, come in handy
