Fat head bars are a UMI name for using the larger bars without the cross-over.

It's a UMI thing... not a Yamaha thing.

Gotcha. Well I guess Ive always had standard bars on my seadoo umi setups then. Never even heard of the fathead.

Soo... Ill take whatever is cheaper for this GPR. Not really sweating this too much just want to get something that looks clean to mount the seadoo buttons, umi button housing, and etc.

you actually have a couple of choices

you can use the complete UMI set-up that replaces the OEM steering stem bars etc - this is a $300+ setup

or you can simply remove the OEM black plastic cover and then replace the ugly OEM bars with a set of aftermarket bars - any ATV or dirt bike dealer will have a set that will fit - $25 to $50 (with this alternative you keep the OEM steering stem etc)

    Cheapest right here!

You can have the stock stem coated and it looks pretty good too.
